Clymer. Judge Clymer was appointed by Governor Eric Holcomb in 2017 to fill the vacancy resulting from the retirement of Judge Bill Alexa. The legal skills and qualifications of Judge Clymer, both professionally and personally, were carefully considered, recognized, and valued by Governor Holcomb. |

Electing Judge Clymer will continue to ensure that high quality justice is meted out effectively, efficiently, and honorably in Porter County.
Judge Clymer is a 1992, magna cum laude graduate of Valparaiso University Law School and has been an Adjunct Professor of Law there since 1999. During law school, he served as an Editor of the Valparaiso Law Review, a law clerk in the United States Department of Justice Narcotics and Dangerous Drug Section and Financial Crimes Sections. He has practiced law in Indiana for 25 years and has handled more than a thousand cases before local courts. He has served as an arbitrator and civil mediator and has also worked as a Congressional legislative correspondent/assistant. He currently serves as the local liaison to the Indiana Supreme Court. Judge Clymer is an Eagle Scout and an active member of the National Eagle Scout Association. He is active in the community in matters ranging from the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life to Immediate Past President of the Valparaiso Kiwanis Club. Judge Clymer has been married to his wife Lori since 1988, and they are the proud parents of two grown children, one an Indiana University graduate and the other a Purdue University graduate. In short, Judge Clymer is the current judge of Porter Superior Court 2 and is dedicated to continue to serve the people of Porter County and the law. |
