The Indiana Election Committee held a historic virtual meeting and unanimously voted to echo the sentiments of Governor Holcomb's actions last week -- Indiana's primary is moved from May 5 to June 2, 2020. The new election deadlines are provided below.
Monday, May 4: Voter Registration Deadline
Tuesday, May 5: Early Voting Begins In Person
Friday, May 8: End of Pre-Primary Election Campaign Finance Reporting Period
Thursday, May 14: Traveling Boards Begin
Thursday, May 21: Deadline for a Request for an Absentee By-Mail Ballot to Be Received by the Clerk or Board of Elections and Registration
Sunday, May 31: End of Pre-Primary Supplemental Campaign Finance Large Contribution Reporting Period
Monday, June 1: Deadline for Traveling Boards & Noon Deadline for Early Voting
Tuesday, June 2: Primary Day (noon is the deadline to return absentee ballots)
Early Voting Begins Tuesday, May 26th!
Early Voting Locations, Dates & Times For you convenience, there are five early voting locations throughout the county. Eligible Porter County voters can cast their ballot at any of these locations.

The Primary Election is scheduled for Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 crisis, ANY Registered Voter may vote by Absentee By Mail. For more options on how to skip the lines or to request an Absentee Ballot by Mail, click the image below. Deadline to return the ABS form is May 21, 2020 by 11:59 p.m. local time.
Governor Holcomb announces update to the"Stay at Home" order. Moves forward with 5 Stage Plan to reopen by July 4th
Eric J. Holcomb, Governor of Indiana announced new measures to the "Stay at Home" Executive Order amidst the COVID-19 crisis with a 5 stage plan to open up the state by July 5th. Guidelines and dates that allow the opening of essential business and operations, government services, and more are outlined in his latest Executive Order 20-26,"Roadmap to Reopen Indiana for Hoosiers, Businesses and State Government" Review the roadmap order here or view video provided.
