This is a great opportunity for recent and current college undergraduates as well as graduate students to become engaged in our state government process. The Indiana Senate Republican Caucus offers paid, spring-semester internships. The Intern Program seeks to fill the following six positions: Legislative, Information Technology, Legal, Press Secretary, Policy, and Visual Communications. Intern Program Details: The Indiana State Senate internship is a full-time, paid position at the Indiana Statehouse during the spring semester. The program begins with a mandatory orientation in late December and concludes at the end of the legislative session, either in March or April. Interns work Monday through Friday with the minimum work day of 8:30 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. Legislative interns are paired with one or two state senators and work directly with the legislative assistants. Communications interns work with press secretaries, policy analysts or multi-media specialists in the Senate Communications Office.
